The closely watched annual study evaluated construction costs against home resale values and found the national average return on investment for fiber-cement siding replacement to be 88.1 percent. This was the highest of any remodeling project, including vinyl siding replacement and bathroom and kitchen remodels—projects traditionally believed to be the best investments.
