The best choice you can make when remodeling your home: Remodeling Magazine says it’s fiber-cement siding.

When you build or remodel your home, you want to be certain you'll get value out of your projects. The reputable Remodeling Magazine's annual "Cost vs. Value Report" (2007) shows that, for return on investment, choosing fiber-cement siding is No. 1, giving you back more than 88 percent of your investment.

The closely watched annual study evaluated construction costs against home resale values and found the national average return on investment for fiber-cement siding replacement to be 88.1 percent. This was the highest of any remodeling project, including vinyl siding replacement and bathroom and kitchen remodels—projects traditionally believed to be the best investments.

Remodeling Magazine has conducted this study since 1988, and is a trusted source among building and construction professionals. 2005 was the first year they evaluated fiber-cement siding replacement, and its debut at the top of the list demonstrates its value to builders and homeowners.
